2013 Planting Hope Gala ~ Oct. 12
Written by Becky Rosaler on August 29, 2013 in General, News & Events
Economic Opportunity for the Rural Poor
Planting Peace and Prosperity in Burundi
Security for Vulnerable Families in Thailand
These aren’t the typical auction items that you find at a formal gala but the Planting Hope Gala isn’t your typical gala.
Each fall we gather to celebrate the international accomplishments made by partnering farmers in rural communities. Stories of hope, dignity, and change express the unique programs that Plant With Purpose is implementing around the world, programs that are transforming lives like Rehema’s in Tanzania and Mrs. NerNaw’s in Thailand.
Once again, expect to be treated to a wonderful evening! The silent auction and cocktail hour will be taking place outside on Paradise Terrace with live music provided by Serenade and Strum. A sumptuous Latin-fusion dinner accompanied by California wine will please your palate. Plant With Purpose will be honoring Project 7 and Kellogg Garden Products for their continued support. And of course you’ll hear an update on what is happening around the world from executive director Scott Sabin and board chair Cathi Lundy.
Auction items include stunning jewelry; rounds of golf at some of the county’s best courses; arts-and-craft furniture; airline tickets; original artwork; and passes to local attractions, restaurants, and performances.
This Kaleidoscope of Color is a night you don’t want to miss.
Seats are $110 per person and a table of 8 is $850. Online registration is now open!
Silent auction and cocktail hour start at 5:30, dinner will be served at 7:00.
