A Few of Our Heroes

I think a hero is any person really intent on making this a better place for all people.
– Maya Angelou

Every day, stories of changed lives and changed landscapes filter through our conversations and computers at Plant With Purpose. These stories from the field tell of families moving from despair to hope. They talk about parents who can afford to educate their children thanks to savings groups. They indicate improved health due to more crops growing in families’ organic gardens.

Stories like these exist because of a handful of dedicated individuals who provide the leadership for Plant With Purpose’s international programs. The international country directors – our heroes – oversee a staff of more than 125 individuals. Under their management, Plant With Purpose’s international teams are forces of change for 388 partnering communities.

These six country directors are currently en route to San Diego for the 2015 International Meeting. Would you join us in praying for this upcoming week? It will be filled with strategic conversations, educational meetings, and around-the-table dialogue that will further unite Plant With Purpose’s field programs…with a little fun added to the mix.

For those of you close to San Diego, we invite you to meet a few of our heroes. The international directors will be sharing program highlights and prayer requests at a special event this Thursday.
