You might remember me from this post, when I joined the Plant With Purpose team as a development intern. From day one of the internship, I was hooked. Plant With Purpose’s mission is compelling because it targets the intersection of humanitarian need and environmental stewardship, filling a gap in the Christian nonprofit world. I’ve wanted to share that story since I first heard it, and am thrilled to do so now as the team’s Outreach Coordinator.
As Outreach Coordinator, I get to serve in a role that blends person-to-person interaction, volunteer recruitment, event coordination, written engagement, social media expansion, and partnering with our incredible network of advocates. People, communication, connection – check! It’s truly a dream of a job.
I moved to San Diego in January and am already taken by this city. Though West Coast to the core, I spent my college years at Gordon College near Boston studying English Literature & Writing, and in Chile studying Spanish. I’ve loved exploring pieces of this green earth and dream of traveling much more. My favorite hours are spent outside in the sun, running, sharing breakfast with friends, and reading great writing. I’m inspired by mornings, the California coast, good design, and people who love big. I believe in the power of community, place, and story.
I believe God’s kingdom has already broken through on this earth, and that we are charged with building for its fulfillment. At Plant With Purpose, we’re blessed to partner with an intricate web of people who are striving toward the same goal. I’d love to connect with you!
