Pray With Purpose This February

The Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians encouraging them to stop quarreling about roles within the kingdom. The analogy of a garden is used as he shares about the spiritual seeds that have been planted and watered by those within their faith community. He shares, “I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow.” God is the one who makes all seeds grow—the ones we place in the ground for nourishment and the sacred seeds that open the door to relationship with Him.

These are two seeds that we desire to see grow. Would you join us on the first Friday of the month as the international Plant With Purpose family joins together to praise God for His goodness and ask for His continued work to take place in rural communities around the world?

Burundi

We praise God for:

  • The successful launch of tree-planting efforts for the Nyakazu Watershed Program. About 400 people came out to help plant approximately 8,000 trees.
  • The high-level of interest that churches are showing in the “Theology of Work” program and the large impact it is having on communities. We are constantly receiving requests for the training. Pray for wisdom and guidance as we continue to improve the program.

We pray for:

  • The Plant With Purpose Burundi staff. Please pray for wisdom and strength for our management team as the program grows and important decisions are made.
  • The end of this growing season. Pray as we’re starting to plan for the next growing season that begins in a few weeks. Pray for our staff as they provide advice and for partnering farmers as they prepare the land and plant their crops.

Dominican Republic

We praise God for:

  • New partnering communities. Pray that God will continue to give us wisdom on carrying out development work in these communities and that these communities will understand and embrace our program.New partnering communities.
