Pray With Purpose This December

Written by Plant With Purpose on December 1, 2017 in General, Prayer Letter

“Advent is a journey towards Bethlehem. May we let ourselves be drawn by the light of God made man.”

~ Pope Francis

During advent we reflect and anticipate Christ’s birth. Partnering farmers understand seasons of waiting and preparation as they patiently sow seeds to provide for their families. This Advent let us join together in a spiritual journey towards Bethlehem as we seek the light of God made man.

Burundi

We praise God for:

  • Successfully completing a three-day field visit with our Board members. We thank the Lord for their availability, dedication and encouragement going forward.
  • Rain in the Nyakazu area. Currently, the population is installing their crops and we plan to plant more than 350,000 trees in the next couple months.
  • Safety and provision. We had a damaging electrical power problem this month  and we thank the Lord that there was no physical harm to anyone.

We pray for:

  • Good health, peace and security of our staff and all partners during this month of December. May the Lord protect all of us so that we can  enjoy and celebrate Christmas and the new year.
  • The tree planting campaigns happening this month. May the Lord give our partners strength as they  install more than 1,000,000 trees.
